Gibson has warmed up to Sadie much quicker, he adores her. Let me tell you a story of just how much he depends on her company. First some background; we believe in kennel training our dogs so when Gibson out grew his puppy kennel and the weather cooled down we used our outdoor kennel, it's perfect for the cooler weather and since it's outside it provides much needed space fora growing puppy. Back to my story. Gibson's first day in his new kennel, Chris decided to come home for lunch. He said hello to Sadie and proceeded to let Gibson out of his kennel. Gibson is a very annimated dog, he jumps up and down even cries when you get home so this wasn't any different. Then Chris noticed he was limping...watched for a moment and realized something was very wrong.Chris took him straight to the vet. The x-ray showed that Gibson had fractured his growth plate, it's the equivalent to a human knee. We can only imagine how this could've happened, our neighbor who informed us that he had heard Sadie barking continuosly earlier.~side note: Sadie never barks~ Gibson must have been so upset to be seperated from Sadie that he caught his leg through the chain link in his attempt to jump out.
Good news; after 2 surgeries Gibson is back to being a puppy.
